Magnetic polymer particles are used in several biomedical applications, such as magnetic cell separation, enzyme immunoassay, drug delivery for targeting, and diagnostics, etc. In this study, magnetic poly(ethyl-2-cyanoacrylate)(MPECA) nanocapsules were prepared by interfacial polymerization for targeting. Both ethyl-2-cyanoacrylate as a monomer and drug were added in acetone containing Miglyol 812. Then, the mixture was added in water phase that consisted of nonionic surfactant and magnetite. At this point, the magnetite (Fe3O4) can make it possible to direct the particles to the specific site by means of external magnetic fields. And the degradation of biodegradable polymeric particles (PECA) would lead the drug to transport and release. Also, morphology, size, chemical structure, magnetic property, magnetite loading efficiency as well as drug loading efficiency of prepared magnetic particles were characterized by SEM, DLS, FT-IR spectroscopy, VSM, and UV spectrophotometer, respectively.
