제목 Design and synthesis of advanced metal oxides for recent solar cells
초록 Colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) are emerging semiconducting materials in solar cells due to their size tunable photophysical properties, solution processability, and high ambient stability. State-of-art CQD device architectures rely on a planar heterojunction between the CQD absorber layer and an n-type metal oxide semiconductor, typically ZnO. This heterojunction establishes a depletion region for efficient charge transport and separation. Unfortunately, several features of the ZnO material limit overall device performance and versatility. These include abundant surface defects, an unfavorable electronic band alignment, and requirement ultraviolet light for high conductivity. In this talk, I’ll present several interesting strategies to address these issues, and discuss next step for CQD solar cells.
