The gold standard approach widely in use for measurement of various targets, for example, biomarker protein, cell, and nucleic acid in point-of-care diagnosis is based on the either antibody-based or non-antibody recognition element-based methods derived from chemical or nanobiotechlogical approaches. Compared to antibody-based immunoassay, linear and unstructured short peptides have attracted to be effective material for developing new biosensor in clinical applications. One of the most exciting benefits of peptides as recognition element is small in size and cost-effective for the creation of a new biosensing system. Therefore, small peptides can be used in a wider variety of sensing platform for prediction and detection of cancers. The aim of this talk is to show unique linear affinity peptides identified from phage display technique and to explore the binding affinities using electrochemical detection methods. |
