Integration of metabolic databases for the analysis of metabolism |

There are a lot of challenges to develop local systems for the analysis of biological information. Our objective is to develop applications to simulate the in silico models of metabolism and to show the genetic and metabolic information that are queried. We have analyzed major four metabolic databases which are mainly deals with the metabolic information. The heterogeneity present in each database is analyzed using ontologies. Various relational model has been designed and modified to satisfy the performance of the system. As a result, we have developed a database system by efficient integration of heterogeneous metabolic databases.
