Synthesis of a new small molecule for solar cells based on 2-(2-methyl-4Hchromen-4-ylidene)malononitrile |
초록 |
A new push-pull type of conjugated small-molecule-dyes, IDTT-CMCN and IDTT-HT-CMCN, based on indacenodithieno[3,2-b]thiophene (IDTT) and 2-(2-methyl-4H-chromen-4-ylidene)malononitrile (CMCN) were designed for application in organic solar cells. When it comes to forming the intramolecular charge transfer (ICT), push-pull structures are especially powerful, therefore enriching optical properties of the materials. IDTT-HT-CMCN has another π-space, enhanced solubility and smaller bandgap attributable to 3-hexylthiophene (HT) compare to IDTT-CMCN. In consequence, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of IDTT-HT-CMCN (7.60%) is higher than IDTT-CMCN (1.03%) with a short circuit current (JSC) of 12.7 mA/cm2, open-circuit voltage (VOC) of 0.94 V, and fill factor (FF) of 63.8%. |
