제목 | Synthesis of ferritin protein, one of iron storage proteins in a cell-free system |
초록 | Bacterial non-heme ferritin from ferritin family protein act to store iron within a protein cage and to protect the cell from oxidative damage caused by the Fenton reaction. Ferritin is a four-helix bundle protein of around 200 amino acids that forms a cage of 24 subunits. The active site of ferritin, named the ferroxidase centre (FOC), is able to safely oxidase iron (Ⅱ) in the presence of oxygen, or peroxide, to produce ferrihydride minerals that are stored within the core of the ferritin nanocage. It is possible to use various methods such as tumor treatment using fever, target treatment, biomarker, gadolinium with conventional human toxicity and MRI contrast agent using magnetism due to iron oxide formation. In this study, we probe the possibility of employing a cell-free synthesis system for enhancing the magnetization efficiency of ferritin. And we sought to utilize the magnetic efficiency of ferritin. |
