Wireless biosensor based TiO2/Cu2+ polymer dots for cancer targeting in response to visible light and Alkaline phosphatase |

Herein, PD(HA)TiO2/Cu2+ was investigated for cancer targeting based on electrochemical approach. By mean of CD44 receptors overexpressed on the cancer membrane and distinctive PPi/ALP levels in intracellular environment, the biosensors altered the electronic resistance obtained by a smartphone. The antifouling effect of TiO2 promoted cancer detection via cell removal under visible light. The cancer-detached biosensors showed a higher resistance than the normal ones due to the dissociation of Cu2+ by high level of ALP/PPi in cancer cells with the cellular uptake by endocytosis. The biosensor displayed a sensitive method for cancer sensing with low LOD value compared to optical one. The wireless biosensor showed a potential approach to promote cancer diagnosis at early stage. This work was supported by Korea National University of Transportation in 2021. |
