제목 2D-LC analysis of theta-shaped polystyrene prepared by ATRP and “click” chemistry
초록 Cyclic polymers have been attracting interest due to their distinct physical properties compared with linear polymers. Theta-shaped polystyrene (PS) was prepared by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and “click” chemistry. Precursor, 3 arm star PS with terminal azide groups, was prepared by ATRP using a trifunctional initiator and subsequent azidation. The theta-shaped PS was synthesized by “click” chemistry between the 3-arm PS precursor and trialkyne coupling agent. The synthesis of the theta-shaped PS also produced, byproducts of various branched PS. Two-dimensional liquid chromatography (2D-LC) is an effective method for characterization of complex polymers. It is a combination of two LC separation methods such as interaction chromatography (IC) and SEC. In this work, we analyzed theta-shaped PS and their byproducts with 2D-LC of IC ⅹ SEC.
