Microparticles with anisotropic structure have attracted much attention because of their potential application, derived from compartmental multi-functions in single particle. Here we reported the preparation of anisotropic particles by partial surface treatment on the controllably exposed hemispheres of particle using silane treatment and bio-conjugation. First, we applied amino silane on the hemisphere of the particle, and streptavidin was conjugated with amine function groups by EDC/NHs coupling. Finally, DNA-functionalized anisotropic microparticles could be fabricated by modifying streptavidin with biotinlated primer followed by PCR. Furthermore, these are expected as a drug delivery system, bio sensor or self - assembly material. |
