Polyaniline nanostructures synthesized by using a self-curling process in the presence of sulfobenzoic acid monopotassium salt |

The polyaniline(PANI) nanotubes and nanofibers were chemically synthesized in the presence of aniline oligomer, formed with the assistance of sulfobenzoic acid monopotassium salt (KSBA). The morphology of the resulting polyaniline nanostructures was greatly affected by the morphology changes of aniline oligomers produced in the early stages of polymerization according to the changes of polymerization condition. The morphology of the synthesized PANI was verified by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The morphology of the aniline oligomers produced in the early stages of polymerization was identified by optical microscopy. The crystal structures of the sample were checked by wide angle X-ray diffraction. |
