제목 Adsorption characteristics of P-chlorophenoxyacetic acid onto activated carbon
초록 Adsorption of P-chlorophenoxyacetic acid (P-CPA) onto activated carbon were studied to get basic impormation on their removal from aqueous solution. Adsorption rate increased with decreasing pH. Kinetic parameters were measured in a batch adsorber to analyze the adsorption rate of P-CPA. The internal diffusion coefficients were determined by comparing the experimental concentration decay curve with that predicted from the surface diffusion model and pore diffusion model. The the breakthrough time was shorter for higher flow rate in a fixed bed. Desorption of P-CPA was about 90% only using distilled water of usually pH 7. The effluent pH decreased in the earlier adsorption stage, and then increased to influent pH as adsorption proceeded.
