| 제목 | Inhibitory effect of medicinal herb extract on the differentiation of 3T3-L1 adipocytes |
| 초록 | Obesity, on of the most serious health problems, is mainly caused by an imbalance between energy storage and consumption. Adipose tissue is primarily composed of adipocytes and the proliferation of adipocytes is associated with adipogenesis and lipogenesis. In this study, the effect of medicinal herb extract on the differentiation of adipocytes, 3T3-L1 cells, was examined. Medicinal herb extract reduced the accumulation of lipid droplets, evidenced by Oil-red-O stain. The effects on the alteration of molecular signals associated with lipogenesis were also examined during the differentiation of 3T3-L1 cells.
