제목 Surface modification of Zinc oxide nanorods with Zn-porphyrin via metal-ligand coordination for polymerpotovoltaic applications
초록 Fine ZnO nanorods with a length of 120 nm and a diameter of 15 nm were synthesized by using two-step solvothermal route in which ZnO nanoparticle seeds were first prepared in alcohols, followed by nanorods growth in an aqueous reactor. To modify ZnO surface, butanethiol was first utilized for encapsulation ZnO nanorods composed of a thiol-Zn-thiol complex, and metal-ligand axial coordination approach was performed using Zn-porphyrin and nitrogenous ligands possessing thiols. Spectroscopic characterization suggested that the dye-modified ZnO nanorods could be suitable for n-type materials in polymer-based solar cells, forming an organic-inorganic hybrid structure.
