제목 | VOCs adsorption over zeolite beta-templated carbon |
초록 | VOCs cause environmental and health problems by forming photochemistry smog and it is important to develop an effective adsorbent for removal of them. Given its high surface area with microporous nature, zeolite-templated carbon, which can be synthesized using zeolite as a template, is considered as a potential adsorbent for elimination of VOCs. In this work, adsorption of a series of selected VOCs over zeolite beta-templated carbon was investigated by measuring their adsorption isotherms under three different temperatures. The adsorbed amount was 1206 mg/g for toluene and 1400mg/g for acetone, respectively, at 293K. Adsorption capacities decreased with increasing adsorption temperature. In addition, the isosteric heats of adsorption were obtained by applying the Clausius-Clapeyron equation in the temperature range of 293-303K. |
