In this work, microporous carbons (ZTCs) were prepared by using a conventional templating method. The ZTCs were chemically activated with different potassium hydroxide (KOH) amounts, 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4g as an activating agent, and then the activated ZTCs were named as A-ZTCs. Microporous carbon based electric double layer capacitors (EDLCs) were evaluated as potential energy storage devices. The characteristics of A-ZTCs were determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The textural properties of the A-ZTCs were analyzed by N2/77K adsorption-desorption isotherms using Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation. Cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge experiment were adopted to investigate their electrochemical performance. |
