제목 Preparation of silicones with different functions
초록 Silicones have great potential as a starting materials for different functional materials because incorporation of chemically useful groups such as amine, tiol, and vinyl can be incorporated easily. Also, silicones can be prepared as soluble types and insoluble types. Another advantage is that they are synthesized using simple inorganic acids or bases (i.e. by adjusting PH) that are not harzardous to living organisms. Our interest is to prepare silicone compounds with desired functions such as oily UV absorbing silicone with high molecular weight that do not penetrate skin, paramagnetic iron oxide particles coated with functional silicones where other useful molecules can be chemically bound. In this poster presentation, we will show preparation of silicones with different functional groups. Silicone containing UV chromophore, GNP, SNP, and paramagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles were prepared and partially characterized for their potential applications.
