Triboelectric generator (TEG) can harvest the electrical power from motions involving small mechanical energies such as touching. Among various self-powered TEG devices, conventional self-powered light emission possesses high operating voltage and slow response time. Therefore, in this research, an instant light emission owing to touch signal on TEG is developed through integration of Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) and TEG. Because triboelectricity generates alternating current (AC), the full advantage of TEG can be taken from ECL system using AC power. This research has been specified into self-powered transparent ECL light emission operated at low voltage condition and its relationship with change in ECL gel area and capacitance. Moreover, the self-powered ECL has overcome the size limit by the electrode connection. Then, by controlling the applied force, it is able to visualize the pressure by number of patterns emitting light for a straightforward pressure-sensitive display. |
