제목 | Hydrogen Reduction of Carboxylic Acids over carbon-supported Pd or Ni nanoporous catalysts |
초록 | A series of carbon-supported palladium / nickel catalysts was prepared and characterized for various physico-chemical properties. This material is high surface area and chemical stability and hydrophobic nature. Efficient and selective catalytic systems, Ni or Pd on the nanoporous carbon, for the production of TFEA by the hydrogenation of TFAA have been developed. It is found that catalytic activity depends on preparative method, hydrogen pressure, agitation rate, and active species. Hydrogenation of various carboxylic acids and ketones clearly shows the electronic and steric effects on the reaction rates and a plausible reaction mechanism is proposed. |
