제목 | Effects of additional elements on the microstructure and mechanical properties of high entropy alloys developed by equiatomic substitution |
초록 | The conventional strategy for developing metallurgical alloys has been based mainly on one principal element. This alloy concept reaches the limit therefore the development of a new paradigm of advanced metallic materials of interest in high-entropy alloys (HEAs) is emerging. In previous study, describe the microstructure and mechanical properties of (Ti33Zr33Hf33)-(Ni50Cu50). Series of HEAs have been designed using an equiatomic substitution alloy strategy, so that their microstructure and mechanical properties could be compared to see the effect of different elemental contents. (Ti33Zr33Hf33)60(Ni50Cu50)40 composites with equiatomic components show the best properties. Based on these results, present study induce the improved mechanical property in (Ti33Zr33Hf33)-(Ni50Cu50) by adding various elements. In consideration of the thermodynamic relationship between added element and other metal elements, different element addition to the (Ti33Zr33Hf33)60(Ni50Cu50)40 alloy was investigated in this study to enhance its mechanical performance. The mechanisms behind the mechanical property of the alloys are discussed. |
