Novel technique for the fabrication of 2D and 3D inverted opals and their applications |
초록 |
Recently, two (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) inverse opal structures have been intensively studied because of their potential applications in membranes, sensors, superhydrophilic-phobic films, solar cells and photonic crystals due to well defined pore size, high surface area and bandgap tunability. In our study, 2D colloidal crystals over large area have been assembled by the confined convective assembly which could control the assembling rate of colloidal particles toward the air-medium-substrate interface by the external air flux and the thinning rate of meniscus by the lift-up rate of substrate. Here we would like to report on the simple and convenient technique to construct the 2D and 3D inverted structures from the 3D colloidal crystals by the kinetic control of the solidification of partially hydrolyzed and condensated silica sol-gel. Moreover, we demonstrated the 2D inverted structures could be used as a template. |
