Cu-based nanocomposite catalysts for methanol steam reforming |
초록 |
Highly efficient Cu-based methanol-steam reforming catalysts having thermal stability and strong activity around 250°C were developed. To design the efficient catalysts supporting the large amount of Cu(~50wt.%) with high dispersion, Cu/CuAl2O4 nanocomposites having metal/spinel structures were synthesized by the autocombustion method using glycine(G) as fuel and the metal nitrates(N) as the oxidizer. For the synthesis of the nanocomposites, we used Cu in excess(Cu:Al molar ratio=1:1) than that required for the formation of the corresponding spinel phase so that uniformly dispersed Cu nanoparticles were formed along with the composite oxide. The nanocomposite catalysts were prepared under different conditions(G/N=0.25–2) and the catalytic performance tests were carried out under following experimental conditions: H2O/CH3OH molar ratio=1.1 and WHSV=12/h in the temperature range of 190–300°C. Also, the characterizations of the catalysts including XRD, TPR, chemisorption analyses, etc. were performed to investigate the physicochemical properties corresponding to their catalytic activity. |
