Preparation and stabilization of tetragonal phase Zirconia by sol-gel method |
초록 |
The presented method describes a better and consistent method to prepare 3% yttria doped zirconia (3Y-Z) using sol-gel method. 3Y-Z is widely used in dental application because of its high fracture strength. In this method Zirconium oxychloride octa hydrate (ZrOCl2.8H2O) was used as zirconia precursor and yttrium chloride hexahydrate (YCl3.6H2O) was used as yttria precursor. Crystal phase have been determined by X-Ray Diffraction (X-RD). Also the morphology of the prepared 3Y-Z has been studied by Scanning Electron Microscope. All the analysis consistently has shown the formation of tetragonal phase stabilised yttria doped zirconia. |
