Surface Characteristics of Styrene-acrylonitrile Copolymer Nanomats by Electrospinninig |

In this work, styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN) copolymer was prepared by polymerization using styrene and acrylonitrile. The nanomats were fabricated with SAN by an electrospinning technique. The synthesized resins were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) spectroscopy. Surface chemical compositionand surface morphologies of SAN nanomats were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electronmicroscopy (SEM), respectively. The wettability of the SAN nanomats was assessed by evaluating the contact angle analysis (CAA) of a sessile droplet of distilled water on the SAN nanomat surfaces. |
