The Kinetics of Copolymerization of Vinylidene Fluoride with Hexafluoropropylene using lauroyl peroxide as an initiator |

In a previous study, we reported the kinetics of the radical copolymerization of VDF with HFP using diisopropylperoxy dicarbonate (DIPPDC) as an initiator in 1,1,2-trichlorotrifluoroethane (R-113) solvent. We obtained monomer reactivity ratios(rVDF=1.71, rHFP=0) and monomer-polymer composition diagram of VDF-HFP using the fineman and ross method. In this study, we introduce the kinetics of solution radical copolymerization using lauroyl peroxide as an initiator. A kinetic approach enabled us to assess the reactivity ratios of both co-monomers. In addition, the microstructure and the thermal properties of these fluorocopolymers have been investigated. |
