The new alternating copolymers (BDT-T-DTDFQx, BDT-T-DTFQx, BDT-T-DFQx, BDT-T-FQx) based on theinly substituted benzodithiophene (BDT-T) and mono- or di- fluorinated quinoxaline (Qx) derivatives. In order to look into effect of molecular spacer and withdrawing properties, each polymers have one or two fluorine group and thiophene bridge. These polymers had good solubility partially in chloroform, but completely dissolved in toluene, chlorobenzene and 1,2-dichlorobenzene (o-DCB) at elevated temperature. These polymers showed maximum absorption peak at 560~620 nm in solution and 570~627 nm in solid thin film, respectively. The optical bandgap (Egopt) of the polymer measured from the absorption onset (658~672 nm) was 1.84~1.89 eV. From solution to film state, absorption spectra of all the polymers red-shifted due to stronger intermolecular interaction. As the results, the PCE of four polymers were achieved 2.66, 3.02, 5.95, and 5.50%, respectively. |
