Polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) are promising precursors for low temperature CVD growth of graphene. However, defects of graphene were inevitably induced by geometry of PAH sources during growth of graphene. Here, we report a simple method using an aliphatic linker to significantly diminish the defect density of graphene. Raman mapping revealed that the defect density was decreased with added aliphatic linker. Furthermore, we fabricated graphene field effect transistors based on the defect-healed graphene. The obtained field effect mobilities were enhanced by more than 5 times compared with conventional defective graphene synthesized by PAH without aliphatic linker at low temperature. |
