Charge converting and pH dependent nanocarrier was achieved by conjugating DMMA to the amino group of the octadecyl grafted poly(2-hydroxyethyl aspartamide) (PHEA-g-C18-NH2) back bone, forming a spherical micelle. PHEA, a poly(amino acid)derivative, was derived from poly(succinimide), which is biocompatible and biodegradable. DMMA, a detachable component at tumor site was added, preventing aggregation with negative blood serums and enhancing its cellular uptake. Characterization of the polymeric micelle was fully investigated, and Doxorubicin was encapsulated successively. These properties can further be applied as an early detecting module of cancer and become an advanced study of designing smart carriers for drug and gene delivery. |
