Preparation of Poly(Phenylene Sulfide)/Polyamide grafted Graphene Oxide (Nylon-GO) Composite Materials for Engineering Plastic |

Poly(phenylene sulfide) (PPS), commonly known as a high-performance thermoplastic, and polyamide grafted graphene oxide (Nylon-GO) composite materials were successfully prepared for engineering plastic application. GO was prepared by Hummers’ method and Nylon was grafted onto the as-prepared GO by ring opening polymerization. Mechanical and thermal properties of PPS/Nylon-GO composite materials with the content of Nylon-GO were analyzed respectively. The PPS/Nylon-GO composite materials showed improved mechanical strength and thermal stability when the small amount of Nylon-GO was added into the polymer matrix. |
