0.03Pb(Sb0.5Nb0.5)O3-0.03Pb(Mn1/3Nb2/3)O3-(0.94-x)PbTiO3-xPbZrO3 [PSN-PMN-PZT] ceramics doped with Y2O3 (0.03, 0.05, 0.1 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 wt.%) were synthesized by conventional processing technique. Phases analysis, microstructures and piezoelectric properties were investigated as a function of sintering temperature (1563K, 1573K, 1583K and 1593K). Microstructures and phases information were characterized using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and an X-ray diffractometer (XRD). While mechanical quality factor (Qm) increased with increasing Y2O3 contents, coupling factor (kp) and relative dielectric constant (K33T) simultaneously decreased in whole sintering temperature. In order to verify certain relationship between hysteretic energy losses and the value of Qm under high drive conditions, P-E responses were investigated using precision LC and precision high voltage interface (Radiant Technologie, Inc.). P-E behaviors as a function of Y2O3 contents in PSN-PMN-PZT were also evaluated from 5 KV/cm to 25 KV/cm. |
