poly(ethylene-co-isosorbide terephthalate) (PEIT) is interest in polymer which has isosorbide monomer that is renewable sources such as corn. However, there is important drawback which is low mechanical properties as elevating isosorbide contents. In this study, polycarbonate used to make up for drawback of mechanical properties of PEIT. The effect of polycarbonate of blends on mechanical, thermal properties and morphology were investigated. The behavior of glass transition temperature in blends was assessed by dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA). The thermal properties of blends were performed thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The morphology of blends was investigated to evaluate the miscibility by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). Mechanical properties were performed a notched Izod impact strength tester. |
