제목 Preparation of PVA/PAAc/TiO2- graphene nanocomposites of improved photocatalytic activity to organic pollutants
초록 Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/poly(acrylic acid) (PAAc)/TiO2-graphene nanocomposites were prepared for the water purification applications. PVA and PAAc were used as polymer matrices in order for an easy recovery after the water purification and a pH sensitive property of nanocomposites. Graphene was used to enhance the adsorption of organic pollutants. TiO2-graphene nanocomposites were prepared at various temperatures in order to confirm the effect of temperature on the particle size of TiO2. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) were used to confirm the morphology and structure. The photocatalytic activity was evaluated by UV spectrometer based on the degradation of model dye. The temperature of TiO2 synthesis played an important role in the photocatalytic acitivity.
