제목 Improved physical property of poly(ethylene glycol) based poly(acrylic acid) hydrogels prepared by electron beam irradiation
초록 Poly(acrylic acid) (PAAc) is an interesting material with good biocompatibility, high elasticity and hydrophilic chacrateristics. In this study, poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) based PAAc hydrogels were prepared by gamma-ray irradiation to improve adhesion property. PAAc powder and PEG were dissolved in the distilled water (DIW) by using a mechanical stirrer and then irradiated by electron beam. The PEG/PAAc hydrogels were annealed to improve mechanical property in the range of 100~130¡É. The physical properties of hydrogles such as gel fraction, swelling behavior, gel strength and adhesive strength were investigated.
