제목 Wide-range detection of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 using polyethylene-glycol-free gold nanorods based on localized surface plasmon resonance
초록 Deficiency of vitamin D cause various diseases such as obesity, digestive problems, osteoporosis, and depression. Vitamin D3 hydroxylates to 25-Hydroxyvitamin D3 in the liver, so that the measurement of 25-Hydroxyvitamin D3 in the blood demonstrate the level of vitamin D3 in the body. Typically, the average level of 25-Hydroxyvitamin D3 in the blood is 20-80 ng/mL.  
In this study, we developed a localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) aptasensor using polyethylene-glycol(PEG)-free gold nanorods (AuNR) for the wide-range detection of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3. We exchanged the stabilzer of AuNR from surfactant to citrate instead of PEG. This modification caused the AuNRs are more effectively immobilized on the substrate. Thereby our LSPR aptasensor was enabled a detection over a wide concentration range of 0.1– 105 ng/mL, with 0.1 ng/mL limit of detection. The PEG-free AuNR based LSPR aptasensor afford a new technology for the development of robust sensing technique for vitamins.
