제목 | Recent development in porous carbon-based materials for removal of radioactive ions |
초록 | The research on the removal of radioactive ions using porous materials has attracted attention in the last decade after the accident of nuclear power plant at Fukushima in 2011. This accident is a great concern over the radioactive contamination due to the continuous leakage of radioactive ions up to date. Since 442 nuclear power plants are still in operation worldwidely, the development of adsorbents for the removal of radioactive ions is important to prepare for accidents such as the above. In this review, we have systematically summarized and analyzed the recent developments in the carbon-based materials for the adsorption of radioactive ions. It is discussed that adsorption capacities of various adsorbents at optimal conditons and what are their limitations. Moreover, it is presented that the surface modification and morphological properties of adsorbents. Finally, conclusion of this review and our suggestions for further works on the removal of radioactive ions are proposed. |
