Neutron Reflectivity Study of Interfacial interaction between deutrated PS and Grafted PS layers |

In polymer thin film system, the interfacial interactions are the key parameter to determining thermal and physical properties of polymer films. Functionalized polymer brushes were studied for modifying substrate to control interfacial interaction between substrate and coated polymer layer. In this study, Neutron Reflectivity (NR) experiments were done to investigate the interfacial interaction between layers on film, conducted in SOFIA reflectometer at materials and life science experimental facility, at J-PARC (Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex). The interfacial widths between layers were calculated from measured NR data, and interfacial interaction (between dPS and modified PSOH layer) will be discussed in terms of these interfacial width parameters. |
