Organic solar cells are a promising area because of cost-effective fabrication, light weight, mechanical flexibility and facile ability to tune the band gap for organic semiconductors. Among the various strategies, optimizing the morphology of BHJ structures consisting of conjugated polymers and fullerene derivatives has significantly improved the power conversion efficiencies of OSCs. Fullerene based electron acceptors have variuos advantages including excellent electron extraction/transport properties. However, fullerene derivatives have some disadvantages. Non-fullerene electron acceptors have been developed as replacements to fullerene derivatives. Among them, NDI-based acceptors have many advantages, such as simple synthetic routes, high absorption in the visible light wavelength region, high electron mobility, and good solubility in organic solvents. In this study, We designed new NDI-based polymers and small molecules for solar cells. |
