Preparation of surface modified MMT nanocomposites with poly(bis-GMA) matrix for dental application |
초록 |
A block copolymer containing pendant 2-isocyanatoethylmethacrylate and 4-vinyl pyridine was successfully prepared and applied to the surface modification of montmorillonite (MMT). The procedure includes 3 steps: a) preparation of poly(maleic anhydride-co-styrene)-block-poly(styrene-co-4-vinyl pyridine) (MSP) through nitroxide mediated polymerization, b) modification of MSP with 2-isocyanatoethylmethacrylate (MMSP) for the potential co-crosslinking with poly(bis-GMA) matrix and c) surface modification of MMT with MMSP. In this work, b) and c) step were successively carried out in one-pot without any purification for scaling-up. The properties of the dental composite employing the modified MMT were also investigated.
