Modification and characterization of polypropylene separator with interconnecting poly(acrylic acid) by electrospinning method for Ni-MH secondary battery separator |

In this study, Hydropobicity of polypropylen(PP) non-woven web was modified by electrospinning with poly(arylic acid)(PAA) to get interconnecting PAAmodifiedPP separator.That is control of hydrophilicity in electrospun non-woven poly(acrylic acid) nanofiber for PAA/PP separator in Ni-MH Secondary battery. These results show that the absorptive capacity of aqueous electrolyte increased with increasing the content of Poly(acrylic acid) in PAA/PP separator. Absorptive capacity of aqueous electrolyte was increased from 105% to 32% with increasing content of PAA in PAA/PP separator.and electrochemical properties of PAA/PP separator in Ni-MH battery show very good performance. |
