Fabrication, characterization and In vivo study of calcium alginate and chitosan based bi potential poly electrolytic complex around hollow BCP spongy scaffold loaded with BMP-2 for bone tissue regeneration. |
초록 |
In this work, the hollow spongy scaffold was fabricated by sponge replica method followed by microwave sintering process. The fabricated scaffold was coated with calcium alginate at the shell surface and genipin crosslinked chitosan with bi phasic calcium phosphate (BCP) was loaded at the core. This chitosan is loaded with BMP-2. This bi potential electrolytic complex was characterized through the investigation of SEM micrograph, porosity, FTIR and BMP-2 release for 21 days. The In Vitro studies such as: MTT, live dead, cell proliferation and cell differentiation were performed. This scaffold was implanted into Rabbit radius of 12 mm critical defect. The efficacy of this complex is evaluated through In Vivo study after one month of implantation. |
