제목 Skin-regenerative Exosome-mimetic Nanovesicles Fabricated by Euglena gracilis Microalgae Extrusion
초록 Exosomes, known as cell-cell communicators and drug delivery nanocarriers thanks to their therapeutic effect, are usually being studied with animal-originated cells. Here, we introduced microalgae-derived exosome mimetic nanovesicles by cell extrusion of euglena gracilis as an effective skin delivery nanocarrier system. euglena gracilis contains plenty of bioactives, especially β-glucan which is known to facilitate skin cell regeneration. We observed that euglena-derived exosome-mimetic nanovesicles (EGNVs) are generated in a uniform size corresponding to clogging phenomenon. The amount of β-glucans in EGNVs was measured by aniline blue assay. Finally, we showed in vitro enhanced skin cell regenerating effect of EGNVs in human keratinocytes by scratch assay and western blot analysis. We expect that these nanovesicles enable to contribute to biological application in the field of skin therapy and cosmetics.
