In this work, quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) sensor which was coated by molecular imprinted polymer (MIP) was fabricated as a monitoring system. Especially, the MIP-QCM sensor was designed for improving the sensitivity and selectivity of VOCs. The MIP film based on methyl acrylate (MA) monomer was prepared using toluene and ethylene glycol dimetacrylate (EGDMA) as a template and cross linking agent, respectively. The ingredients for MIP film were polymerized on the QCM surface. The binding sites on MIPs were characterized by using FT-IR, nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherms, and AFM. The frequency variation was also measured and compared with the results of microscopic observations. |
