제목 High performance direct methanol fuel cells with micro-nano dot patterned polymer electrolyte membrane
초록 The effect of an enlarged surface area of the Nafion 115 membrane with well-defined micro-nano dot patterns on the performance of a direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC), compared with the pristine Nafion 115 membrane are investigated. Micro-nano dot patterns were fabricated on the surface of Nafion membrane with high reliability using imprint lithography. In the case of micro-nano patterned Nafion 115 membrane the cell performance increased about 20% compared with that of the pristine Nafion 115 membrane owing to an increased effective three-phase boundaries caused by an enlarged electrochemical surface area.
