제목 Characterization of ultrasmall PbS nanoparticles by Medium Energy Ion Scattering Spectroscopy (MEIS).
초록 The characterization of ultrasmall semiconductor nanoparticles have been extensively interested in the field of particle growth to solve its mechanism. However there exists limited literature regarding the study of growth mechanism and parameters effecting the growth of semiconductor nanoparticles. In this study, an investigation using Medium Energy Ion Scattering Spectroscopy (MEIS) was done by varying the reaction temperature and its effect on the size of PbS nanoparticle. The PbS nanoparticles less than 1 nm were synthesized by altering the reaction conditions. The size of the sub-nanometer PbS nanoparticles were characterized using HRTEM and MEIS. MEIS is a promising equipment to characterize ultrasmall nanoparticles as well as thin film devise. Based on reaction conditions, Non-classical approach is proposed for the growth mechanism of ultrasmall PbS nanoparticles.
