제목 Enhancement of electrical properties of polycarbonate/MWNT  nanocomposites by non-covalent functionalization
초록 To overcome poor dispersibility of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) in polymer matrix, pyrene moieties containing pyrrole were synthesized. Pyrene moieties could be prepared by the reaction of pyrenebutyric acid chloride and pyrrole derivative. Pyrene moieties containing pyrrole monomer used to functionalize the surface of MWNTs via non-covalent method and pyrrole could be polymerized by oxidation using FeCl36H2O in acetone. Non-covalent functionalization of MWNTs was conducted by ultrasonication and polycarbonate/functionalized MWNT nanocomposite films were prepared by solvent–casting. We could observe the improved dispersion of MWNTs in polycarbonate by functionalization of MWNTs with pyrene moieties containing pyrrole and the electrical properties of the nanocomposites will be further discussed.
