제목 종이(다공성 시트) 기반의 색변환 화학센서 Colorimetric chemical sensor using porous membrane sheet as paper
초록 Herein, colorimetric ammonia sensors fabricated by using porous membrane sheet such as paper will be presented. One example is a gas sensor using a color change by the acid-base reaction between solid pH indicator dye and gaseous NH3 analyte. This sensor relies on bromocresol green-impregnated polyacrylonitrile (BCG-PAN) nanofibers for highly sensitive colorimetric detection of gaseous ammonia. An initial yellow of the BCG-PAN mat quickly changed and became saturated to blue within 1 min. It exhibited excellent detection sensitivity as a detection limit of less than 1 ppm, good selectivity to common volatile organic solvents, and reversible response behavior at ambient conditions. They straightforwardly demonstrate that sensitive and reversible detection for gaseous NH3 is possible simply by naked-eye observation without the help of any detecting instruments. Other examples are to selectively detect ammonia dissolved in aqueous sample through formation of blue indophenol using specific chemical reactions between aqueous NH3 and solid modified Berthelot’s regents embedded in paper. The detection was performed using two different schemes: an indirect headspace detection of NH3 evaporated from the solution and direct detection in the paper lab-on-chip platform. The former method exhibited good detection performances including a limit-of-detection value of less than 10 ppm and an excellent cross-selectivity to various additive-contained aqueous solutions. The latter approach demonstrated user-friendly determination of ammonia using a simple and cheap LOC device.
