Graphene is one of the most effective carbons to immobilize sulfur for lithium-sulfur battery. Due to intrinsic high conductivity and excellent stiffness, graphene attributes to improve electrical performance of lithium-sulfur cell. General ways to render graphene are chemical reduction and thermal reduction. In this study, we carried out thermal reduction at 800℃ to remove functional groups and exfoliate graphene nanosheets. For comparison, heat treatment at 400℃ was carried out by same steps. The morphology of the composite was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transition electron microscopy (TEM) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR). Electrochemical properties were also characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 1M LiTFSI electrolyte. |
