Electrospinning or spraying can make micro-/nano-particles and fibers by polymer solutions. Of the these techniques, Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) co-jetting is technique that fabricates polymer particles or fibers containing various compartments. This is based on laminar flow through parallel needles by pumping more than two polymer solutions. In this way, core-shell microfibers can be achieved by introduction with Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)-co–(glycidyl methacrylate) (Poly(NIPAM–co-GMA)) in core and PLGA in shell. Especially, PNIPAM-co-PGMA has reversible shape shifting at specific stimuli like temperature of water. The prepared fibers are characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), confocal laser scanning microscope (CLSM), optical microscopy (OM). |
