Ternary NiCoFe-hydroxide nanosheets as efficient electrocatalyst for urea oxidation reaction |
초록 |
The electrochemical urea oxidation reaction (UOR) is useful for the simultaneous elimination of urea-rich wastewater and the generation of hydrogen. This work demonstrated the synthesis of NiCoFe-hydroxide nanosheets supported on 3D Ni foam substrates by a one-step hydrothermal method. Benefiting from the synergism of compositional and structural merits, the resultant self-supported NiCoFe-OH/NF composite exhibited excellent electrocatalytic performance for UOR. Significant enhancement of the electrocatalytic activity of NiCoFe-OH/NF was witnessed because of the doped Fe. Compared with the parent NiCo-OH/NF, the optimized NiCoFe-OH/NF exhibited a lower potential of 1.337 V at 25 mA cm−2 with a smaller Tafel slope of 43 mV dec−1 in 1 M KOH containing 0.33 M urea. |
