제목 Methyl methacrylate(MMA) Emulsion Polymerization by RITP method
초록 In this paper, We synthesized emulsion latex by using iodine molecular, which was called Reverse iodine transfer polymerization(RITP), in the controlled radical polymerization. This process can get the controlled molecular weight by the simple itself. The polymerization of methyl methacrylate(MMA) initiated by 4,4-azobis(4-cyanopentanoic acid)(ACPA) in the presence of iodine(I2) was studied in the emulsion polymerization. The weight average molecular weight(Mw) was controlled by the variation of iodine concentration. The latex's properties were characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM), and gel permeation chromatography(GPC).
