Characteristic of VOCs Emission from Paints for Building Materials using VOC Analyzer |

Among the numerous VOC compounds, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and o-xylene (BTEX) were chosen for this study because BTEX is the major VOC found in indoor environments. The VOC analyzer is a portable measuring equipment for aromatic hydrocarbons of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). This portable measuring equipment is in simple gas-chromatography form. The concentration of the target gas is automatically calculated and indicated. The correlation of the results from this analyzer with those from GC/MS was above 99%. We extracted the emission gas from various paints for building materials from small vial where adhesives in. We controlled leaving time and temperature. We set optimum test condition of VOCs emission from paints by VOC analyzer. |
